Have you read Coupe's report about candidates for the Divine? She's managed to concoct a reason to disqualify the only one who doesn't want to immediately throw us back into circles. We can't let people just accept these choices of hers.
[ A loaded word. The clever thing to do would be to quietly invoke the Right if Annulment before they ever disperse and before a decision is announced to them, but that’s probably paranoid and definitely not conducive to convincing Nell not to scheme.
Which he isn’t trying to do, anyway. ]
I haven’t seen it. I might be able to get it from the Scoutmaster. Who is she ruling out?
They made the report available in the Chantry Relations office. They've ruled out Grand Cleric Elise of Ayseleigh because of rumors that she's slipping in her old age. Convenient, considering she's the only candidate who might be in favor of not contesting our freedom.
And Grand Cleric Clorentine of Montsimmard, who apparently is very easily steered to any view. Of course there are other people holding her strings now, but we should at least be trying to take them, not just casting her off.

Oh, no, anything but the Circles.
[ He just has to get it out of his system. ]

[ She is not buying it. Hear her eyes rolling. ]
Trying to put everyone back now that they've been out for years will mean more war.

[ Processing. He knows little about either of them, but someone pliable sounds more plausible than someone people might think is senile. ]
Who does she recommend?
